In only its second year, the Chautauqua Gran Fondo has become an excellent end-of-the-summer community event. Designed to promote health and well-being for cyclists of all skill levels, the Gran Fondo meshes both activity with family-friendly entertainment.
Featuring live music from nationally recognized recording artists Deb & the Dynamics and The Stickers, the after-party was lively was again. The Make-Your-Own Ice Cream Sundaes station, provided courtesy of Tastee Corners of Jamestown, was a delicious hit with the adults and children alike.
Riders once again could choose between four cycling routes: the scenic 20-mile tour, the 40-mile fitness tour which included a ride on the Bemus Point-Stow Ferry, the 37.3-mile challenge tour, and the 58-mile challenge which took cyclists up to Lake Erie’s Barcelona Lighthouse before returning to circle Chautauqua Lake.
