NEW for 2024

For the tenth annual Chautauqua Gran Fondo in 2024, we will be utilizing staggered departure times at the top of the hour to reduce congestion at the start and create a better party atmosphere at the finish where riders are able to congregate and enjoy relaxing with friends that may have completed a different distance.

Riders may check in at Mayville Lakeside Park on Friday afternoon/evening or Saturday morning prior to departing. 100 mile riders will begin riding at the 7:00 AM group start. The 60 mile riders group start will depart at 8:00 AM. At 9:00 AM, both the 40 mile riders and trail riders will leave as a group, each beginning from separate areas in Mayville Lakeside Park. 20 mile riders will depart at 10:00 AM as a group.

Although riders may check in at any time Saturday prior to their group start time, we encourage participants to plan their arrival time in proximity to their route’s group departure time. For example, 40 mile riders may want to arrive between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM for the 9:00 AM group departure instead of arriving prior to 8 AM. Please note, rest stops along routes will be opening at different times than previous years to accommodate and align with the staggered departure times. Riders departing prior to scheduled group starting times is not condoned and may result in passing a rest stop prior to it being ready and opened.
