CALLING AREA CHEERLEADING TEAMS

(JAMESTOWN, NY) — On Saturday, August 26, 2017, area cheerleading teams are invited to share their team spirt in celebration of the Chautauqua Gran Fondo cyclists as they cross the finish line at Webb’s Captain’s Table in Mayville, NY.

All volunteers are welcome to stay for the after party at Webb’s Captain’s Table which includes a picnic, refreshments and live entertainment. Lunch for participating cheer teams will be provided.

The Chautauqua Gran Fondo is a community event designed to promote health and well being for cyclists of all skill levels while raising funds for local non-profit organizations. This year proceeds will support the Royal Family Kid’s Camp, Western New York Kidney Connection and for the Chautauqua County Veteran’s Endowment Fund.

Each cheer team will be asked to participate in cheering riders at the finish line, encouraging riders to ring the celebratory bell, awarding medals to all riders and directing riders to the recovery tent located near the main gate of the after-party.

“This year, we want to be sure all riders, no matter which route they chose or how long they took to finish, to receive a Chautauqua Proud welcome at the finish line. We believe the added celebration, along with the beautiful scenery and challenges found along our routes,  will make the Chautauqua Gran Fondo a standout experience for our participants.”
