While it looks a little different this year, we are working hard to put on our beloved cycling event for you this summer. Please read the updated COVID-19 protocols and get ready to make memories on a ride around Chautauqua Lake.

Please note that there will NOT be event t-shirts, medals or an after party this year.

IF YOU ARE NOT WELL OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO SOMEONE THAT IS ILL PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THIS EVENT!! YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE DEFERRED TO 2021. If you are not comfortable joining us this year or want to wait until 2021 to enjoy the full Gran Fondo experience as in the past, we understand and will defer your registration to 2021. Please contact the event administrator at 716-353-1288 or tonia@coachmarkwilson.com. Anyone registered from a state that is currently on the travel ban list from NY State will be deferred automatically to 2021 unless you contact the event administrator personally and in writing to inform that you have been in NY State for 14 days prior to event day!

OUR LIMITATIONS THIS YEAR ARE THAT NO MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE MAY GATHER.
WE HAVE OVER 250 REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THE CHANGES AND FOLLOW PROCEDURES ACCORDINGLY.

THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE EVENT REGISTRATION AVAILABLE. PLEASE BE SURE TO REGISTER ON-LINE PRIOR TO THE EVENT.

60 MILE RIDERS:

YOU WILL BE PARKING AND LEAVING FROM: TBD

There will be NO check-in. You will be directed at the entrance on Valley Street on where to park depending on the last name of the vehicle driver.
A-J will park on one end - gather socially distanced

K-Z will park on the opposite end - gather socially distanced.

Event director will send you off at 8am from one end, 8:03am the other end.

40 MILE RIDERS:

YOU WILL BE PARKING AND LEAVING FROM: TBD


A-J will park across the street from the park - gather socially distanced
K-Z will park in the Park- gather socially distanced.

Event director will send you off at 8:15am & 8:18am.

25 MILE RIDERS:

There will be NO check-in.

Please keep socially distanced.

Event director will send you off at 8:30am.

IF YOU WISH TO DEFER YOUR REGISTRATION TO 2021 - YOU MUST DO SO PRIOR TO EVENT DATE. NO DEFERRAL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED AFTER 8/21/2020.

If you need to change the distance that you registered for please do so prior to 8/21/2020.

We ask that you wear a mask when speaking with parking volunteers/other riders/aid station volunteers at the meeting locations and maintain proper distancing.
You DO NOT NEED TO WEAR A MASK while riding!

ON COURSE:

Please keep distance between groups of riders. There will be a SAG vehicle behind the last riders for each route. If you are in need of assistance please wait for the truck or call Mark Wilson at 914-466-9214 and he will get someone to your location. Of course, if medical assistance is required please have someone call 9-1-1.

There will be water stations/aid stations along the route. Water as well as Hammer Nutrition products; Endurolytes, Gels and Fizz will be available courtesy of Wilson Endurance Sports. There will also be small first aid kits at each station.

Aid stations will be staffed with volunteers to re-stock items only. All items will be self serve only!
Please take the items you need and move away from the table so that all can approach with social distancing guidelines in place.

There will be a port-a-john or public restroom at each stop. Hand sanitizer will be plentiful.

If you decide to stop and tour local attractions/restaurants etc please note that the route signs and aid stations will begin to be picked up by 2pm.

60 mile route:
Corner of Rt 394 & NY 5E in Barcelona

All routes:
Crosby’s ~ Hartfield
Bemus Point Golf Club and Tap House

40 & 60 mile:
Lucille Ball Memorial Park ~ Celeron
Group Ther-Happy ~ Lakewood (not an aid station, a beverage for purchase stop)
Hadley Bay ~ Stow

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be NO after party at the conclusion of the event this year.

This event is planned for you to enjoy the beautiful sights along one of New York’s most lovely lakes and the surrounding areas of Chautauqua County. This is not a race. Enjoy the views.

The routes are NOT closed to traffic so please stay to the right of the road and follow all rules of the highway.

NEVER cross over the yellow line.

Helmets are a requirement Please keep them buckled at all times.
